Dera Siagian music world has known since childhood. At the time in high school (high school) he had formed a band called “Say’A”. In 2012, Dera had auditioned to sing in the talent show Indonesian Idol Seventh season by performing a song called “Jealousy” belonging to Indonesian top band of Dewa 19.
